Description Amyris is a small, hardy tropical tree native to Haiti and the Caribbean, often called "West Indian Sandalwood" for its warm, woody scent — though it is botanically distinct from true sandalwood. The oil is steam-distilled from the wood and bark of sustainably harvested trees, making it one of the more responsibly sourced botanical oils available.
